William Edward Mullin, 70, of Lynn, went to be with his Lord early Friday, September 6, 2013 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, Winchester.

He was born October 11, 1942 in Logansport to William L. and Clara (Starbuck) Mullin. He was a graduate of Delphi High School and a 1969 graduate of Purdue University. William was retired in 2009 as a civil engineer and physical plant director for Earlham College, Richmond. He had also worked at Southern Illinois University and Rose Hulman of Terre Haute.
He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, gardening and watching Purdue sports. He was a member of Spartanburg Christian Church and the Lynn Lions Club.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 48 years, Judy (Draper) Mullin; two daughters, Melissa C. Ottavi (husband, Brett) of Elkhart and Suzannah M. Schmitz (husband, Bill) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a son, Gregory William Mullin (wife, Jessica) of Ft. Wayne; his mother, Clara S. Mullin of Delphi; a brother, Stephen L. Mullin (wife, Lisa) of Delphi; a sister, Beverly J. MaCurdy (husband, John) of Burlington; and four precious grandchildren, Michele C. Schmitz, Payton W. Schmitz, Isabella C. Ottavi and Grace E. Mullin.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A service to celebrate Bill's life is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Spartanburg Christian Church, 6714 E. CR 700 South, Lynn, with Brian Richmond officiating.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 p.m. today at the church. Thomas Memorial Chapel, Lynn, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonshookfuneralhomes.com.
