Gerald D. "Jerry" McClellan, 51, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 29, 2013 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio.

He was born November 30, 1961 in Richmond to Patty (Varvel) Louk of Winchester and the late Earl Edward McClellan, Jr. Jerry loved fishing, NASCAR - especially Dale Earnhart Jr. and Sr., going to the casino boats and playing poker. He was a 1980 graduate of Mississinawa High School, a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Amvets of Eldorado. Jerry made the best fudge and he loved cooking. He was a great brother, son and had the biggest heart for people.
In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his fiancé, Diane Pace of Greenville, Ohio; four brothers, Ron McClellan of Winchester, Fred McClellan of Kentucky, Mark and Barb McClellan of Indiana and Mike and Wendy McClellan of Liberty; two sisters, Shirley and Rob Cummoms of Richmond and Tammy and Jim Suttles of Winchester; stepchildren, Bobbie Sue Hampshire, Sam Billups, Eran Woodyard, Ricky and Kristina Pace, Brandy and Brian Stahl, Angie Pace and Breanna Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service is 10 a.m. Friday at Braund Pope Funeral Home, New Madison, Ohio. Pastor Tony Price has been asked to officiate. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at braundpope.com.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
