Michael L. Rainey, 37, of Winchester, passed away February 14, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 26, 1974 in Union City, Ind., to Jim and Betty (Riley) Rainey. He was a subcontractor and specialized in drywall and home repair before he was deemed disabled. His hobbies included internet activities, spending time with his family and friends and fishing. Michael also loved watching the Packers and Colts play. He was a member of East St. Congregational Christian Church and was also an ordained minister.
Survivors include his parents; two daughters, Carissa and Brittany Rainey, both at home; one son, Dylan Holliday; two god children, Autaum and Quenton Ford, all of Winchester; one sister, Cindy Richardson of Kentucky; four brothers, Rick (Mindy Bradburn) Rainey of Winchester, Steve Rainey of Greensburg, Stanley Clark of Union City, Ind., Bill Rainey of Muncie; special friends, Matt and Megan Lake and their children; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Braydan Reed Rainey; paternal grandparents, Joe and Birdie Rainey; and maternal grandparents, John and Betty Riley.
A memorial service is noon Saturday at East Street Congregational Christian Church, Winchester, with Pastor Rob Butler officiating.
