James Allen "Jimmy" Jones, 61, of Muncie, formerly of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Brookside Haven Care Center, Muncie, after a long battle with Huntington's Disease.

He was born October 19, 1952 in Richmond to Ralph and Wanda (Bunger) Jones. He lived in the Lynn area for most of his life and retired from Applegate Steel as a press room supervisor in 1998. Jimmy served in the Indiana National Guard and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and being outdoors with the nature. He attended church services at Brookside Haven when traveling became too difficult for him to attend services at Lighthouse Wesleyan Church in Lynn.
Survivors include a son, Darian Jones; a daughter, Amber (Micheal) Ackman; and like a son, Kevin (Amy) Fish; four grandchildren, Darienne Ackman, Braxton Ackman, Madison Tye-Jones and Carter Ackman; his mother, Wanda Miller; a sister, Marcia (James) Gibson; a brother, Paul Jones; several nieces, nephews and many friends; and longtime friends, Bud and Betty Sickels, Max and Dixie Edwards and Ernestine Albertson.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Chad Jones; four sisters, Sharon Kay Jones, Linda Helms, Kathy Hagar and Sheri Russo; and a brother, Mike Jones.
A private remembrance service will be held at the convenience of the family.
