Delmer Pitman, 75
Delmer Pitman, 75, of Winchester, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at his residence.
He was born September 4, 1938 in Mintonville, Ky., to the late Arthur and Marie (Wesley) Pitman. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1959 and was a truck driver for many years.
Survivors include four children, Dennis (Tammy) Pitman of Jacksonville, Fla., Cindy (Steven) Pitman of Markleville, Jeff (Linda) Pitman of Modoc and Tim (Diana) Pitman of Elk Grove, Calif.; several grandchildren; seven siblings, Ernest (Vickie) Pitman of Winchester, Larry Pitman of Yorktown, Danny (Lois) Pitman of Winchester, Rick (Cindy) Pitman of Selma, Mildred Sibert of Winchester, Lucille (Ernie) Phenis of Winchester and Janet (Bob) Whitted of Winchester; a sister-in-law, Edna Pitman of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Pitman.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester. Burial will follow at Saratoga Cemetery, Saratoga, with military rites conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
