June 27, 1928 - May 6, 2014
Fred will be forever missed by his wife of 66 years and sweetheart Lee, his cherished daughter Connie (Wayne Ocolisan) adored and proud of his granddaughters Korie Ocolisan and Kelly (Scott) Pare and the gift god sent him two great-granddaughters Madeline and Lyndsay to reward and comfort him in his blindness and old age. Surviving sister Marilyn Cousineau (Vic), sister-in-law Elaine Gagnier (Blaise). Predeceased by brother Bill. Fred joined the Windsor Police Department and left after 17 years because of his injuries. Fred joined his wife and became a RealEstate Broker. Fred survived a life threatening accident while on the police force. He was injured on a motorcycle by a drunk driver and was unconscious for days. He lost his sight in 1989. Fred never complained. His body broke down but he was a survivor. His philosophy was to never complain and to thank God that you were still alive. Fred was an unbelievable husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the first one to offer assistance in any situation. He was an honest and respected police officer
. He was an excellent cook and loved beautiful music. He was a great card player and enjoyed sports. He was a true person, someone who made it easy to say "I Love You". Fred leaves an empty spot in the lives of many that will never be filled. During his illness with cancer Fred said it gave him the opportunity to live each day and enjoy the wonder of living with family and friends and to have loved his wife for 69 years. Fred lived in Windsor all his life and will be missed by nephew and nieces and True friends. Fred and Lee could not be without their children and moved to Gananoque in 2003. Family and children were his whole life. God made some perfect men and Fred was one of them. I will always love you Fred even after death, your Buddy, Sweetheart and Best Friend. Private Cremation, he will come home to be buried in the Windsor he loved. Memories and condolences may be sent online to email@example.com, www.reidfuneralhome.com
