PARENT, Clement Joseph (Clem)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the age of 72 years ending a courageous and challenging battle with COPD. Beloved and loving husband of Marie-Anne (Gaspar) for 48 years. Dearly loved father of Michael and Marni Parent, Susan and Mark Lauzon, and Aimee Parent and Shaun Dunn. Pepe will be greatly missed by his treasured grandchildren, Clayton and Kylie Parent and Lindsay and Matheu Lauzon. Clem was predeceased by his parents, Lucien (1994) and Alvina (1966) Parent and by his parents- in-law, James (1996) and Frances (1982) Gaspar, his brother, Pierre (2009) his brothers-in-law Vincent O'Brien (2009), William Medved (2010), Larry Ranson, (2011), Richard Gaspar (2012), and his godson, Jeffrey Renaud (1985). Dear brother of Therese Parent, Celina Ranson, Francois and Yvette Parent, and Leo Parent. Dear brother-in-law of Carol Parent, Elizabeth Parent, Louise and Raymond Robinet, Margaret O'Brien, Brian Gaspar, Arlene and David Hills, Cheryl and Peter Cameron, Sandra and Donald Monforton and Kenneth and Sheila Gaspar. Clem was Godfather to Mary Lou (Morencie) Rubli, Sheila Bondy, Diane (Parent) Cassidy, Marilyn Robinet, and Michelle Robinet. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Clem worked for many years in the concrete product manufacturing industry, was an avid bowler, golfer, baseball player and coach holding offices in several Leagues, and a dedicated gardener. When his health failed, he taught himself to latch hook rugs. In kindness donations may be made to St. Clement's Restoration Fund, the Diabetes Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
