COLE, Gwyneth "Joan"
(nee Evans)
Passed away peacefully on January 7, 2013 in her 98th year. Reunited with her husband Emerson, sisters Sylvia and Edith and her sons Paul and Gary Cole. Joan will be sorely missed by son David Cole (Jim Wickens) and daughters Bonnita Cole and Sylvia Shanfield (Stephen). Mother-in- law to the late Jane Cole and to Sue Cole and Lila Cole. Joan's 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild were an immeasurable source of pride and happiness, and they have many wonderful memories of time spent with her. Joan created a welcoming home filled with love and tradition, happiness and laughter. In recent years, she was treated with kid gloves by adoring staff members at the Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital Dialysis Unit, and the family wishes to express its gratitude to them, for greeting her three days a week, and providing such special care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital Dialysis Unit would be appreciated. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Crown Medical Transportation, CCAC and the Personal Support Workers who attended to Joan's every need. At Joan's request, cremation has taken place. A private memorial gathering for family was held at
Victoria Greenlawn Memorial Chapel &
Visitation Centre (1525 Highway 3,
Oldcastle 519-969-3939).
