Was born Sunday, November 12, 1922 and passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Windsor Regional Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Gerald (March 13, 2004). Adored mother of Geraldine Heil and husband Larry, John Diemer and wife Helen, Theresa Curtis and husband Murray, Patrick Diemer and wife Theresa, Angela Hartley, Rita Walpole-Martin and husband Norm, Margaret Lafferty and husband Larry, Mary Reeb and husband Rick, Edward Diemer and wife Elaine, Timothy Diemer and wife Christine, Betsy Moison and husband Hermas, Christine Herniman and husband Rick, Robert Diemer and wife Brenda, Richard Diemer and late wife Debra, Roger Diemer, Nora Srigley. Proud grandma of 58 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Dearest sister of Ernest St. Pierre (Theresa), Marianne Masse (Adelard), Jephte St. Pierre (Edna) and sister-in-law of Rosella Pinsonneault, Charles Diemer and Bertha Diemer. Predeceased by grandchildren Samantha and Christopher and her brothers, Laurent, Edmond and Herman. Irene was a lifelong resident of Woodslee and everyone that knew her has their own special memories of her.
