Jim was born in Walkerville ON., a resident of Tecumseh Extendicare passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn are his Son Jim Jr. (Marcia) of Saskatoon, Son William of Victoria and Son David of Edmonton. Grandchildren Joscelyne, Raylene and Ryan. Jim was predeceased by his wife Diane (nee Dow), Parents and Brothers, survived by his Sister Marion of Florida and many Nieces and Nephews. Jim started his adventure in Windsor where he joined the Shiners WaWa Temple and joined the Windsor Bulldog Hockey Club as Assistant GM taking them to the Allan Cup in 1963 and then beyond into Eastern Europe with exhibition play. He later joined Carling O'Keefe Breweries and became Western Canadian Sales Manager as he took his new Bride Diane (nee Dow) and two baby boys to Western Canada. After his Brewery Posts in Edmonton and Calgary he established roots in Saskatoon with Carlings having another baby boy. Jim built Cabins at Wakaw Lake, sold cars then joined Areva Resources at Cluff Lake as Services Superintendant while relaxing at Wakaw Lake where he loved to hunt, fish and spend time with friends. Retiring to Windsor in 1994, Jim and late wife Diane settled down into retirement and enjoyed family, friends, travelling to Europe then back to Western Canada to visit children. A Celebration of Jim's life will be held in the chapel of the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St E., on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #12, 2090 Brant Street Windsor, Ontario from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
