MOYNAHAN, Jeremiah (Jerry)
93 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Aldeen (Campbell) (2008). Loving father of Geraldine McAlorum of Tilbury and her late husband Robert McAlorum (2008), Pamela and her husband Cecil Reaume of Tilbury. Cherished grandfather of Shannon (McAlorum) and her husband Jacob Bachinger of Norway House, Manitoba; Sean McAlorum of Midland; Frances, Jennifer (Brad Palmer), Rally, and Shaun Reaume, all of Tilbury; and great grandchildren Carlee and Joshua. Predeceased by his parents William and Fanny (Wales) Moynahan, and his step-father Brock Foster. Dear brother of Allan Foster and wife Pat of Woodstock, and the late Lottie Dennett, William Moynahan, Morley Foster, Mary Miller, Leslie, Donald, and Clifford Foster. Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. After the declaration of World War II, Jerry joined the Royal Canadian Army Kent Regiment, then later transferred to the Essex Scottish Regiment and specialized as a signalman. When the war ended, Jerry and Aldeen purchased a small farm in Tilbury West Township, where they raised their daughters in the Strangfield community. After retiring in Tilbury, Jerry and Aldeen became members of Darrel S. Moffat Memorial United Church. Jerry was a long- term dedicated volunteer to his church and community, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 241, Comber. Visitation at: Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Legion service 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service at the funeral home Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Lilian Patey officiating. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Tilbury. Donations to Darrel S.
