As a child I remember Johnny as somebody I looked up to and admired for his love of music and life. His talent on the drums was amazing to watch at my grandparents house. We used to spend a lot of time with him at Houghton lake Michigan at the cottage and there were a lot of good memories. Wish we could have spent more time together. You will be greatly missed and remembered.
Love your nephew Mark Bechard (wife Sandra Bechard)

I have a lot of great memories with JB, as he liked to be called. Back in the day he was my favorite uncle, I always had a soft spot in my heart for him. There were many great memories growing up with him coming around are house and visits at my Grandparents. He always showed real interest in his nephews, I know he loved us all!!!I remember times at Houghton Lake, MI and watching my rock star uncle pound the hell out of those drums down my Grandparents basement while he was crafting his talent. And then finally being able to see him play in bands, of course the most memorable was Sample and Hold! He asked me to go on tour with him and the band while they toured South Western Ontario, what a blast we had!!! He came to visit me in California a couple of times and we had a great time together! As life goes time drifted by and we didn't talk a lot up until a couple years ago. We did a lot of emailing and a coupe of phone calls. He wanted to come back out to California for a get together and sadly in never happened. I will hold on to the good memories we had and always remember his smile and his laugh! Until we meet again Johnny, this is your nephew Bob sending you my thoughts, prayers and LOVE!

my most heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Johnny B,one of my oldest and dearest friends.Knowing Johnny for 45 years i guess you could say that i knew him pretty well, and there wasent to many things that we dident do together throughout our lives, you know all those things that good friends did together growing up (to many to list),our poor mothers:}. Anyway there was this one question that we would ask each other, from time to time, and that was which one of us would go to god first, you know the way kids are, well sadly my friend and brother, that question has been answered.it does however give me comfort to know that you are with your, parents and other family members, as well as many of our dear friends, make sure you say hi for me ok bro. Johnny you have always been a good friend to me, and I know i will see you again soon my brother.Oh one last thing Johnny, you can bang on those skins as long and loud as you want in heaven, so turn it up!! :} love you Johnny.xxxx Bobby D.

I recently heard of John's passing and find it difficult to absorb his death at such a young age.

Bechard Family: Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of John, words cannot express my sorrow for all of you. Being a life-long friend of John and the family this is very upsetting to say the least. I lived with John, partied with John, jammed with John, he lived life to the fullest and was always the hit of the party. I could sit here and type all day with stories. May you rest in peace, you'll be sorely missed by many. Loved you like a brother.
