73 years, passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on January 4, 2012 at Hospice Village. Beloved husband of Barbara for 50 years. Loving father of Jorg Albrecht and wife Sara, Elke Albrecht, Britta Albrecht and partner Larry Zajdlik. Dear Opa to Lex, Max, Elliat and the late Xavea Albrecht, Aleya Moffatt, Mackenzie, Adriena and Connor Sousa and Brett and Grant Faucher, Taylor and Kaitlyn Zajdlik. Dear brother to Hans and Edelgard of Germany. Manfred was a respected member of the LaSalle Mariners Yacht Club. Also, Manfred retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1991. Following his retirement, Manfred and Barbara fullfilled their dream of sailing their sailboat, St. Pauli, in the Caribbean Waters. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at:

on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Manfred's life will follow at 8 p.m. In kindness memorial donations to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Manfred Albrecht in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in September 2012. All are welcome. On line condolences may be left at:
