PICARD, Marcel
C'est avec beaucoup de tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Dr Marcel Picard survenu le 17 novembre à Amherstburg à l'âge de 86 ans. He joins his best friend and soulmate Theresa Picard (nee Holland). Beloved father of Paul Picard and Marnie Stranks, Marc, Claude and partner Scott Gilchrist, Joseph et Diane, Dr. Erin Picard and Daniel Murphy. Loving grandfather of Micheline, Lindsay, Robert, Daniel, Claire, Madeleine et Augustin. "Grand-papa" de Jean-Paul. Frère aîné de Yolande Bonhomme, Dr Aline Picard et l'honorable Claudette Picard. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Dr. Picard was the first dentist to locate his practice in Sandwich. He served as chairman of both the Windsor Separate School Board and the Windsor Public Board. He will be remembered for his incredible generosity towards and concern for the less fortunate, his uncompromising integrity et son engagement envers la francophonie. Thanks to nurses and personal support workers who helped our father and special thanks to Jacques who accompanied both our parents on their final journey. Donations to Assumption Church Restoration would be appreciated by the family. Cremation service was held. Memorial Visitation Sunday 2-5p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at
