It is with great sadness that Mary's family announces her entering into Heaven's Gates in her 90th year on January 19, 2013 at Windsor Regional Hospital Center - Metropolitan Campus. Mary was born in Lemberg, Ukraine, raised in Kingsville, Ontario, met and married the love of her life William Thomas Hawkins in St. Catharines, Ontario, raised her children in Windsor, moved to Dundas, Ontario in 1960 and returned to Windsor upon her husband's death in 1985 at which time she took up residence at Summit House on Riverside Drive. Predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Michael Deneka; husband, William; sister, Annette Marchand and son in law Michael Dupuis: Survived by her children, Arthur (Cindy) Hawkins and Sandra Dupuis; her grandchildren, Edward (Amy) and Jeff (Abbey) Dupuis, Denise (Gary) Grant, William (Bridget) and Michael (Molly) Hawkins, Tracey (Peter) Vlahos, Samantha (Richard) Dalimonte, Megan (Kevin) Klapp; great grandchildren, Arthur, Charlie, Sean, Chase, Brook and Grace Hawkins, Owen, Amber and Jasmine Dupuis, Alex, Katie and Jacob Vlahos, Quinn and Morgan Grant, Harrison and Elizabeth Klapp, Richard Dalimonte. Mary was not only her family's beloved matriarch, but much loved by all her friends at Summit House where she resided for over 25 years. Mary led an exemplary life - a strong Christian - a founding member of Trinity United Church, a great supporter of charitable institutions and an incredible mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A consummate mother and homemaker, Mary was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing her special dishes for her family. She was a wonderful influence on her family and was an accomplished bridge and euchre player and competed regularly in various tournaments in the Windsor area. Above all she was a very wise and articulate woman who provided guidance and was a role model to her family throughout her long and eventful life. She will be forever loved and missed by her family. The viewing will be held on Friday, January 25th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The celebration of Mary's life will be held Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 3:00 pm at

in Belle River.
