On behalf of Monica's mom, sisters and the love of Monica's life, Bob Roy, as well as his family, thank you all so much for your kind words and remembrances. Monica was such a huge part of our lives that it is almost impossible to imagine going on without her. But go on we must and she would want us to fill the rest of our lives with as much joy and love as we can possibly squeeze in. I feel at peace knowing that she lived her life to the fullest each and every day. Mon was such an inspiration to all. She loved her life and fought valiantly for so long to stay with us. After meeting so many of her wonderful friends from the community, parish, university, etc., I completely understand why she found it so difficult to let go. We are in awe of her patient acceptance of each and every health setback she suffered over the course of the last few years in particular. God bless you, Mon, and may he keep you in his loving care. We will miss you, our feisty redhead! Love you so much, our dear sis.

Burdened with such a long illness, Monica always displayed her zest for life with her gentle smile and her genuine concern for others. Her devotion and care for her mother Theresa was exemplary. Monica will always have a special place in our hearts as we remember the wonderful person that we have lost. Our most sincere condolences to all family and friends.

The day Monica passed, the 2nd Church reading went as followed:
"Love is patient, love is Kind.
It is not jealous, it is not pompous,
It is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrong doing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things."
Monica exemplified this Love until the end! She was most faithful to the Lord amidst her physical sufferings.
She was very dear to our family, she will be missed, but her Love will never die.

I was so saddened to hear about Monica. She was always so kind to me as a fellow staff member at the library, and so very helpful to education students who came to her for help. I have only good memories of Monica.

I worked with Monica at the Leddy Library for many years. She was a dear sweet person who always went the extra mile to help. When my children were young, Monica was the one I would go to for material for grade school and high school projects. My condolences to her family, she was a wonderful person.
