86 years, passed away at home in Leamington on Monday, January 9, 2012. Formerly of Romney Township. Beloved husband of Norma for 58 years. Loving father of Don and wife Colleen of Leamington, and Debbie and husband Derek Fletcher of LaSalle. He will be greatly missed by grandsons Daryl and Kyle. Survived by his brother Clare of B.C. Ray was retired from Chrysler Canada, CAW Local 444 and was a veteran of WWII having served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was also a past member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and a member of the Mersea United Church. Ray will be remembered for his passion of flying, his ability to build and fix anything, and his quick wit. The family would like to extend their thanks to the many Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario and C.C.A.C. caregivers for their care and support provided to both Ray and Norma, enabling Ray to pass away with dignity at home. The family also wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Crystal for her exceptional care and compassion she provided for over 5 years. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
