CHEVALIER, Sidney Francis
88 years of age. Born June 17, 1924 - December 27, 2012. Peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family. Beloved husband of Betty for almost 60 years. Cherished father of Rick and Kathy, Tom, Sue and husband Russ Egerton, Tim and Mary, Ron, Dan and Aime, Ken, Bryan and Karen, Jeff and Nicole. Dearly loved grandfather of Ryan and Cheryl, Amber and Mike Harrison, Dane and Jenna; Carlie, Chelsey, Cole; Joshua and Diana, Jacob, Meghan; RaeAnne and Cory Rousseau, Gloria, John; Julien, Aiden; Rachel. Great grandfather of Tanner Harrison and Ryder Chevalier. Sid is survived by brothers Paul and wife Mary Jane, Donald, his sister Donna Poisson, and brother in-law Bernard Murphy. Predeceased by siblings Irene, Albert, John, Cyril, Ben, Evelyn, Bill
and Gerald. Sid will be fondly remembered
by many nieces and nephews. Sid was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Woodslee. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4555, and a Senior Altar Server, Usher and a member of the St. John's Cemetery Committee for many years. Sid retired from Chrysler Canada in 1981 after 30 years of service, and a member of C.A.W Local 444. Sid and Betty purchased a small 65 acre
farm in Woodslee and moved their growing family there in 1961. He farmed the land he loved for many years until diagnosed with Alzheimers disease in 2001. Visitation will take place at the

on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 3:00 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus Prayers at 3:15 p.m. Further visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery.
