CARMAN, Victor 1921-2011 Passed away at Forest Heights Long-Term Care Centre, Kitchener, on May 3, 2011 in his 90th year. Vic will be remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Sherri Martin-Carman of Elmira, Ontario; son-in-law Michael Keown, of Scotland; grandchildren Christina and Graeme Mason, and their children Kayleigh and Nathan, and Lara and Gary Charalambous and their children Dominic and Leyton, all of England. Vic was predeceased by his wife Muriel (Hall) Carman in December 2000, as well as his daughter, Carol Keown, who died suddenly one day before his death on May 2, 2011. Born July 12, 1921 in Eynsford, England, Vic joined the Royal Air Force and served for six years during World War II. Victor and Muriel were married in 1944, and they, along with Carol, moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1949. Vic enjoyed various retail jobs in Windsor, and he took pleasure in the company of others. Vic was a long-time member of the Windsor Bicycling Committee and the Windsor Air Force Club. A service to honour Victor and celebrate his life will be held on Sunday May 8 at 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #143 (Old Air Force Club), 1570 Marentette Ave, Windsor (519-254-1024). At Victors request cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated since Vic was generous and supportive of many local charities.

It is a sad day to hear of your passing, my friend. Your dedication, donations and help with the annual Christmas Tree at the Air Force Club will never be forgotten. Heaven will have a hard time keeping up with you and your ideas. Safe Journey.
