BARKER, William Andrew "Bill" Born July 8, 1923 and passed away peacefully on July 5, 2011 at the Grandview Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late June (nee Closs) (1982). Dear father of Sue Eansor, Diane Benkendorf (Richard), Bill (Pam), and Marianne Willis. Loving grandfather of Marissa and Karey, Andrew, Joey, Meghann and Patrick. Will be missed by his two sisters Ruth and Laura. Bill served in the Canadian Navy stationed in B.C during WWII. He was a welder at Canadian Bridge then taught Welding at St. Clair College. He was actively involved in the Men's Club at Riverside United Church. Bill enjoyed golf, his family cottage at Clear Lake, following U of M football, his Detroit Tigers and life in general. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to Riverside United Church. As per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd East, 519-254-8633.
