FITTLER, Adolf (Steve)
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend Adolf (Steve) Fittler passed away peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the age of 75 years. Steve was born in Kapetanovo Polje, Yugoslavia (now Croatia) on January 6, 1939. He was happily married to his lifelong friend Hilde Leipold for a blessed 56 years and was a loving father to five girls: Cathie Rombouts (Peter), Marilyn Binder (David), Betty Burton (Steven), Rosanne Frey (Richard), and Ingrid Schwinghammer (David). He was also a proud grandfather to Jason Rombouts, Aaron and Valery Binder, Jordan and Selena Burton, Nathanael, Alayna and Victoria Frey, Albany and Justin Schwinghammer. Steve is further survived by his dear brothers: Frank (predeceased by wife Sue), Helmut and his wife Sandra, Willy and his wife Margaret, and his sister-in-law Helen Fittler. He is also preceded in his death and call to glory by his loving parents George and Helen Fittler and his two older brothers George and John. Visiting at the

on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to Celebrate Steve's Life will be held at First Lutheran Church, 27 Spruce Street N., Kingsville on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. Pastor Glenn Stresman officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations made by cheque will be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers to MCC Canada.
