GOSSELIN, Catherine
It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of Catherine Gosselin (nee Wilkinson) at her home in Leamington. Cathy was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who had an incredibly generous and dynamic spirit and loved everyone wit all her heart. Cathy spent 40 years as an inspiring registered nurse, training at Metropolitan Hospital in Windsor before heading out on adventures in hospitals, the VON and different longterm care facilities. Ray and Cathy were fortunate to have 50 loving years together, 48 years since the honeymoon to Quebec! She was the most incredible supportive and encouraging mother who was the best friend of Michael Gosselin (Christina Hyde) and Deanne Gosselin (Shane McLaughlin). She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Margaret Wilkinson as well as her father-in- law, Leo Gosselin. Her unfailing love will also be remembered and missed by her mother- in-law, Stella Gosselin; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Marlene Wilkinson; twin sister, Carolyn Wilkinson; sister and brothers-in-law, Carol Ann and Jerry Malone, Susie and Pierre Cecile, and Colin and June Gosselin. Aunt Catherine loved all her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews including Scott and Kathy Wilkinson, Tim and Laura Wilkinson, Chris, Tom, Michelle and Danielle Cecile; Mark and Ann Malone, Sean and Andrea Malone and Stephen and Cia Malone. Her friends meant the world to her and so we would like to mention a few of her closest, Maxine Thompson, Betty Zorzit, Liz Manley, Vi Pepper, Sybil Wales, Pam and Richard Leslie and Heather and Bob Brown and thank them for being there for her. As a family, we were overwhelmed with the support and love shown by the people of the Comber United Church. Cathy took great pleasure in volunteering at the Leamington Hospital Auxiliary Shop, the Leamington Tomato and as a baseball coach throughout her life. We would like to thank a wonderful friend, neighbour and nurse practitioner, Donna LePointe for the incredible care, and compassion she gave to Cathy and to her family and to Dr. Sheila Horen, a doctor like no other who helped give her more quality of life.
