ALTOBELLI, Gaven Dain
On June 12, 2001, heaven's angels witnessed the birth of Gaven Dain Altobelli. On Thursday, May 17, 2012, cradled in the loving arms of his parents Lana and Bruno, Gaven was gently lifted up on angel's wings and carried to heaven into the loving arms of Jesus. Surrounding our precious Gaven were his grandparents Raymond and Beverly Myers, Vincenzo and Viviana Altobelli, Aunts and Uncles Lynn and Glen Hutchinson, Lori and Clarence Market, Lisa and Mark Taylor, Leah and Wayne Chauvin, Larry and Kari Myers, and Paul Altobelli. Gaven will be missed by his cousins Matthew, Aaron, and Ashley Hutchinson, Drs. Brenna and Vikram Velker, Marisa and Jesse Market, Ian and Megan Taylor, Brian and Catherine Chauvin, Trinity and Mitchell Myers and extended loving family in Frosinone, Italy. He will be sadly missed by Sarah Ruggaber. Beloved pets Tamela and Bobby D. will miss snuggling up next to him. Welcoming Gaven to heaven are his great grandparents Emily and Emil Pawluck, Alcide Myers, Helen and George Hornsey, Giovanni Battista and Maria Altobelli, Luigi and Teresa Simoni and Baba(Lena)Pawluck. Gaven touched the lives of everyone who knew him. If you knew him, you never forgot him. Gaven lived a gentle, courageous life and was loved deeply. His indelible spirit was an inspiration to others every day of his life. To know Gaven was to know love. Gaven wowed his teachers, friends, and classmates at Essex Public School with his extensive closet of the coolest clothes, shoes, and hats. He was always a snappy dresser who's charming, almost hypnotizing smile lit up every room, and whose beautiful brown eyes had you from the first moment you saw him. It was easy to see why God wanted this little angel. He taught us all so much about life and love. It is with deep sadness that Gaven leaves us to begin his new life in heaven. One day Gaven, God will call us home to be with you, but until then, we will cherish the memories of your beautiful smile as you cheered during the hockey games beside Daddy, and snuggled with Mommy for your nightly story after the bath you loved so. Bear in the Big Blue House will remember how you liked Shadow and Luna, and the singing and dancing they did for you. Thank you to all of the family and friends, doctors and nurses, teachers, educational assistants, strangers, and especially the children who touched, and were touched by Gaven's life. A special thank you for all of the prayers and support through the years. Rest peacefully our beautiful boy; you have earned it. Visiting will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St., Belle River 519-728-1500) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Visiting will continue at St. John the Evangelist Church (1688 County Rd. 46, Woodslee) on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 9:30 a.m.-10 a.m. A video of "Gaven's Wonderful Life" will be viewed at 10 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations to Victoria Hospital Pediatric Critical Care or the London Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated. On line condolences may be left at www.meladyfuneral.ca
