With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving and cherished wife, mother and grandmother, Linda Marentette, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, surrounded by her family's love in the comfort of her home. Devoted wife of her beloved Norman. Adoring mother of Steven, Michelle & Tim Papineau, David & Celia and Brian. Proud and doting grandmother of Andrea & Tyler Papineau, Benjamin & Lydia Marentette. She always found time for her family and made each of us feel special and loved, no matter how busy or tired or ill she was. She taught us all to love and be loved - the greatest of all life's gifts. Linda was a compassionate caregiver to many of her family in their time of need. She greatly enjoyed vacations with family and friends, playing cards and made every holiday a joyous and memorable celebration. Her love and devotion was immeasurable, and will live on in the lives of her family. Predeceased by her father William (1976) and beloved mother Blanche Pickering (1999). Survived by her caring siblings; Sharon & Wayne Wilcox, Peter, Garnet, Larry, Susan Fortin, Lorraine Pickering & Dave. Fondly remembered by her in-laws; Wilfrid (2008) & Arthemise Marentette, Alice & Lawrence (2008) Reaume, Lucille & Robert Mailloux, Rita & Marr Huson, Gerard & Elaine, Rene & Nancy, Jean-Paul & Susan. Survived by numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt appreciation to her true and dedicated friend Bernadette Mailloux. Our sincere gratitude to the extended health care team who provided compassionate home care in Linda's time of need, notably; Lori, Kensey, Amy, Kara and Denise. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 9:45 am to Visitation Parish Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Huntington's Society of Canada or the Visitation Parish Building Fund.
