TYTGAT, George Paul
Born Tuesday, October 3, 1933, George slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Leamington Hospital. Best friend and loving husband of Theresa (nee Strong) for 53 years. Adored father of Sandra Kotow (Joe), Dan (Shelly Ulch), Cathy Tenbroeke (Ed) and Brian (Sherra). Cherished grandpa of Crystal, Vicki, Kayla, Cassandra, Calvin, Liam, Drew, Dane, Jessie and Rick. Dearest brother of the late Harry (1937), Margaret Verscheuren (late Morris - 2011), the late Rachel Delaurier (2007) (Don), the late Andy (2012) (Rose), Morris (Terry), Elsie Chevrier (late Lawrence - 1988) and his late twin Roger (2003) (Elaine). Dear brother-in-law of the late James Strong (1968) (late Jean -1962), the late Leonard Strong (1987) (Alice), Adrian Strong (Norma), Mary Heyd (Leo), the late Charles Strong (2012) (Cecile), the late John Strong (2011), (Annette), the late Harry Strong (2006) (Margaret), Richard Strong (Nancy), Marcella Decook (late Joe - 2009), Bernard Strong (Ursula), Henry Strong (Geraldine) and Pauline Strong. George will also be remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews. Farming was George's passion and for pleasure he loved cottage life with his family and fishing. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #201, a volunteer firefighter for 17 years with Colchester North and was a member of the Holy Name Knights of Columbus Council 3305. He loved his family with everything he had and they will all miss him terribly. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Bergeron and the nurses at Hospice, ParaMed nurses especially Catherine, Agnes and Janet, the nurses and staff of C.C.A.C., especially Beth Reid, the staff and nurses in the cancer unit of Met Hospital and the nurses and doctors of Leamington Hospital for all of the amazing care George received through his journey. Fr. Robert Rocheleau officiating. Parish prayers Thursday 7:30 pm followed by K of C prayers. Interment Country Meadows Cemetery, Essex.
