May 11, 1925 -July 10, 2013
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Robert (1984). Loving mother of Garry Bate (Penny), and the late Ronald Bate (2003) (Diane). Cherished grandmother of Todd (Tatam), Tricia, Kelly (Matt), Wayne, Michael, Michelle, Monica and great grandmother of Ryan, Hailey, Parker, Caleb and Sarah. Dear sister of John Smith (Claire), and the late Donald, George Roy, Norman, Allan and Waldreen. Sister in-law of Violet and Terry. Dear friend of John Best. Janet enjoyed nothing more than a rousing game of euchre. She played weekly with her friend John and always loved playing with her two boys and her grandkids at family get togethers. Over the years Janet taught porcelin doll making and ceramics out of her home. She loved dancing and playing the organ when she was able to. She will be missed especially by Snowball her beloved little poodle. A special thank you the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Windsor for all of their care and compassion during this difficut time.
