CARTIER, Randi
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Randi Cartier. In her 63rd year. Beloved wife for 42 years to Roger. Dear sister of Keith Owen. Randi was known to most people as the owner of the Dragon's Den. A writer, painter, and leather crafter, someone you could come to for advice, or a shoulder you could cry on if you needed to. To her many friends in the SCA and elsewhere she was known for her cooking. Randi you will be missed by all the people whose lives you have touched. There will be a private service and a memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

To a cousin I have today (8 September 2016) just found on Facebook after seeing you and Roger at your mum and dad's in 1976 only to find Youve gone. Love to you all Lynne Dawson (Olesinski) England.

My condolences to Roger, friends and family. I have many fond memories of chatting to Randi at the Dragons Den and many SCA events. She was very warm, caring and will be greatly missed.

Roger, my heart goes out to you. Both you and Randi helped me navigate the difficult years of high school. I still recall the conversations that went late in the night, a mixture of brutal honesty and wicked wit, but a message that was always the same, "others opinions about you matter little, be happy with who you are". Thank you. I wish you peace my friend.
