George Poisson

POISSON, George F. 85 years, peacefully, on December 18, 2006. Late of Windsor. Beloved husband of Dorace (nee Rochemont). Loving father to Trudy and Donovan Smith, of Blackstock, Ont.; Kim and George Parr, of Belle River. Dear son of the late Col. Dr. Paul Poisson ( 1981) and Gertrude (nee Connor) (1970). Dear Pepe to Eric and Andrea Parr. Dear brother to Pauline Hampton, Geraldine Liddy, Paul Poisson, Teresa Brisebois and the late Gerald, John and Mary Helen Poisson. Dear brother-in-law to Margaret Dunbar, Robert and Dorothy Rochemont, Kathryn and Bruce Low and the late Ronald Rochemont (Helen)and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. George was a retired salesman from Central Chrysler, a member of Holy Family Council # 4386 Knights of Columbus, was a veteran of WWII having served with the Essex-Scottish Regiment, a member of the Col. Paul Poisson Br. 261 Royal Canadian Legion (Tecumseh) and was a member of the Windsor Sportmen Club. Visiting Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). A Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee and the R. C. Legion will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Robert Couture officiating. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of symapthy, a donation to the Alzheimers Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of George Poisson in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 30, 2007. All are welcome.
