BONDURANT MOUNT AIRY William Edward (Eddie "B") Bondurant June 15, 1940 - Dec. 3, 2012 Mr. William Edward (Eddie "B") Bondurant, age 72, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at his home. Mr. Bondurant was born in Surry County June 15, 1940 the son of the late Peter Floyd and Nettie Ruth Jones Bondurant. Mr. Bondurant graduated from Mount Airy High School, Guilford College, and received his MBA from University of South Carolina. He was formerly the county manager of Surry County and was retired from J. G. Coram Construction of Mount Airy and Sexton Construction of Winston-Salem. He was a member of the Mount Airy Rotary Club, member of the Renfro Masonic Lodge # 691, and Mount Airy Elks Lodge where he served as Exalted Ruler. Mr. Bondurant was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Airy. Surviving are his daughter, Nicole Bondurant of Kinston; one granddaughter, Rachel Grey Bondurant of Kinston; his aunt, Carrie Sue Culler of Ararat, VA; his companion, Bettsee Smith McPhail of Mount Airy; his best friends, Leon Slate and Roscoe Easter both of Mount Airy; his cousins, Horace and Jewel Bondurant of Mount Airy, Faye and George Bryant of Claudville, VA, Josephine Slate of Ararat, VA, Bobby Cockerham and Joey Cockerham both of Huntsville, AL, Emily Clement of Ararat, VA, Floyd Culler of Copeland, and Nelson Culler of King. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moody Funeral Chapel of Mount Airy with Dr. Steve Lindsley, Mr. Gary York, and Nicole Bondurant officiating. Interment will follow in Pedigo Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the Masonic Properties, LLC of Mount Airy, 212 Franklin St., Mount Airy, NC 27030.
