BADGETT MOUNT AIRY - Mrs. Annie Taylor Badgett age 95 of 335 East Old McKinney Road, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Howard Glen Badgett passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Central Continuing Care. She was born September 8, 1915 in Surry County, NC to the late Walter and Lela Ball Taylor. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law; Shelby B. and Roger Lewis Nichols, Mt. Airy, a son and daughter-in-law; Larry W. and Peggy M. Badgett, Mt. Airy, six grandchildren and spouses; Timothy M. Nichols, Winston-Salem, James A. and Jill H. Nichols, Samuel J. and Tina S. Nichols, Scott Badgett, Shelly Taylor and fianc‚, Todd Smith, Amanda and Matt Adams all of Mt. Airy, NC, twelve great grandchildren; Morgan Nichols, Alexandra Nichols, Emma Nichols, Jessie Nichols, Jake Nichols, Katelyn Badgett, Bailey Badgett, Jaden Badgett, Mason Taylor, Maggie Taylor, Meg Adams and Jonah Adams all of Mt. Airy, four step grandchildren; Matt Simpson, Andy Simpson, Christopher Smith and Joshua Smith all of Mt. Airy, a sister; Agnes Vernon, Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Badgett was preceded in death by two grandsons, Gary Nichols and Jason Badgett. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. J. Cecil Hill and Rev. Jon Cawley. Burial will follow in the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday night at Moody Funeral Home.
