Geiger, Lucy A. Lucy A. Geiger, 96, of Abbotsford formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of service on Monday. Inurnment will be held in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery following the service. Lucy was born on January 3, 1919 to Richard and Lucy (Leimkuehler) Keller in La Valle, Sauk County, Wisconsin. She attended catholic schools and married Clarence Geiger on May 18, 1937 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1986. They farmed in the Township of Mayville, Dorchester until 1972, when they moved to the Village of Dorchester. Lucy worked at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford and at the Dorchester Elementary School as a cook. Lucy enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, working on the farm and playing cards with family and friends. Lucy was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Lucy is survived by her children: Dale (Donna) Geiger of Dorchester, Richard Geiger of Washington and Janice (Roger) Schmelzer of Burlington, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and her brother: Ed (Helen Marie) Keller of Elk Grove Village, IL. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
