Arnold Baltus(1928 - 2013)

Arnold Baltus, 85, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Elmer and Emma ( Bloomer) on May 5, 1928. He married Shirley ( Miller) on April 8, 1951. Arnold served his country in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic from 1951 to 1955. He was a long time member of the Wisconsin Rapids Moose Lodge.

He loved camping, fishing, animals and spending time with the whole family.

He is survived by his two sons; Brian Baltus, Wis.Rapids, Brent (Becky)Baltus, Port Edwards, two daughters; Brenda Kroll, Nekoosa, Babette (Tracy Hedberg) Baltus, Land O' Lakes, two sisters; Evelyn Wojcik, Arpin, Dorothy Halbrader, Marshfield, ten grandchildren; Mike (Stephanie) Lutz, Melissa (Jose Meza) Lutz, Melanie Kroll, Nicholas (Amelia) Hedberg, Joshua (Sarah Weserberg) Hedberg, Eric Hedberg, Justin ( Megan Grossklaus) Urbans, Jenifer Baltus, Tara Baltus, Tyler Baltus, great-grandchildren; Cody Lutz, Payton Lutz, Adrian Meza, Jackson Urbans, four sister-in-laws; Jeanette, Mary Ann, Bernie, and Virginia and his very special pet Daisy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, and six brothers.

Visitation will be on Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Higgins Funeral Home and the service will be on Wednesday August 14, 2013 with a visitation from 10:00am to the time of service at 11:00 am at Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church with Mary Lou Plummer officiating. A committal will follow at Foresthill Cemetery with military honors.
