Wilson, Frank Raymond

Frank Raymond Wilson, age 94, of Adams, Wisconsin died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Frank was born December 23, 1919, in Fayette, Iowa, to Carl Raymond and Lillian Rosebud (Morris) Wilson. He graduated from Beloit High School in 1939. Frank was a member of Beloit's Boxing Team, and continued to box prior to his enlistment in the Army. He was a veteran of WWII and was stationed in Korea. He married Lucille O. Vodak on June 25, 1947 in Beloit, Wisconsin. Frank and Lucille lived in Rhinelander, WI and moved to Wood County in 1949. He worked as a millwright for Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company for 32 years, retiring in 1981. As residents of Nekoosa, Frank and Lucille were active members of United Church of Christ. Frank also served as a volunteer fireman, ambulance attendant, Little League coach, Boy Scout den leader, and active involved in school and athletic activities. Frank loved to fish, and was known as "The Bluegill Terminator." He eagerly shared this passion with his children, grandchildren and friends. Frank was a talented carpenter, building items ranging from furniture to fishing boats. He and Lucille were avid campers in the north woods and spent several winters in Texas. Frank was well known for his ability to ice skate, and he regularly captivated audiences with his intricate moves. He continued to skate well into his eighties.

Frank and Lucille moved to Adams in 1984. They particularly enjoyed being involved in their grandsons' lives. They made many friends while living in Adams and were members of Trinity Congregational Church.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by many.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillian Wilson; wife, Lucille O. Wilson; brothers, James, Roy, and Morris; sister, Bernice Sciacca; and son-in-law, Charlie Wilcox.

Survivors daughter, Rosemary (Razz) (Trefly) Sinette of Holcombe, Wisconsin; daughter, Shelia (Dale) Toltzmann of Friendship, Wisconsin; daughter, Colleen (Dan Huckins) Wilson of Jacksonville, Oregon; son, Frank (Roberta) Wilson Jr. and their grandchildren, Joey and Bianca of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandchild, Jason Toltzmann of Friendship, Wisconsin; grandchild, Scott (Heather) Toltzmann and their children, Cameron and Madelynn of Friendship, Wisconsin.

Further survived by many nieces, nephews and host of loyal friends.

Per Frank's request, no services will be held. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

A memorial will be established at a later date.
