Teske, Jeanna Kay
Kay Teske, 69, of 810 19th Avenue So., Wisconsin Rapids, WI went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 23 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born February 20, 1943 in Tipton, Indiana to Charles and Virginia (Brown) Stucker. She attended Almond High School.
On August 16, 1959 she married Wayne C. Teske in an outdoor ceremony at her parents' home in Almond, WI.
Kay was a stay-at-home mother, daycare provider, and teacher's aide for the Almond-Bancroft and Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools until her retirement in 2002. As an aide in the school district, she was dedicated to helping students with special needs.
Kay's greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. She loved traveling, reading, sewing, scrapbooking, walking her dog, and spoiling her grandchildren. Kay was dedicated to her grandchildren's various activities and her children's multiple endeavors.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; daughter, Pam (Dale) Meddaugh of Bancroft; daughter, DeAnna (Gary) Deitte of Fond du Lac; daughter, Debbie Whitman of DeKalb, IL; and son, Jason (Stefanie) Teske of Wausau; eight grandchildren, Marissa Meddaugh, Merrick Meddaugh, Hannah (Ralph) Holzmann, Jacob Deitte, Joshua Deitte, Jonah Deitte, Lilia Teske, and Beckett Teske; great-grandchildren, Jack Holzmann, Remmington Holzmann, and Liam Holzmann. She is further survived by four sisters; JoAnn (Raymond) Weber of Ford City, Pennsylvania; Judy Hunter of Cicero, Indiana; Sally (David) White of Greeley, Colorado; Micki (Gene) Kies of Steamboat Rock, Iowa and two brothers, Robert (Carol) Stucker of Clayton, Indiana, and Steve (Lowella) Stucker of Almond, Wisconsin. Kay is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janice (Harland) Newby of Bancroft, Wisconsin, brother-in-law, Carl Teske of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.
Kay was proceeded in death by her parents; brother, Charles; mother-in-law, Eva; fathers-in-law, Oscar and John; and sisters-in-law, Beatrice and Esther.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Herman-Taylor Funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Monday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will precede the service from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Almond Village Cemetery.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vinay Gupta and the nursing staff at Mayo Clinic/Methodist Hospital and Riverview Cancer Center for their comforting warmth and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Teske Family for future memorials which will be dedicated to the church and cancer research.
