Maxine M. Siegler, age 89, of 661 Williams Street, Village of Biron, WI died Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.

Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Jim Altman will officiate. Visitation will take place at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at the Church form 10:00-11:00 AM. There will be a Parish Rosary at 7:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Maxine was born August 19, 1923 in the Village of Biron to Percy and Permelia (Fobart) Kempfert. She married John B. Siegler Jr. on December 4, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI and was blessed with 71 years of marriage and 7 children.

Maxine's whole life revolved around her family and she was a very devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to travel with family and friends and frequently went to Branson and also other favorite places like Hawaii, Seattle, San Antonio, Mexico and New Orleans. She loved camping when she was young. Maxine was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed watching the Food Network and reading recipe books. Maxine's favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved the holiday. Family gatherings were very important to Maxine. Listening and dancing to Big Band music would bring out a twinkle in her eye. She was a kind, warm, spirited person and was always up for some fun.

Maxine is survived by her husband, John; sons, Jack (Kathy) Siegler, Don (Charlene "Charlie") Siegler and Mark Siegler; daughters, Penny (Mike) Johnson, Jane (Dan) Gross, Mary (Dennis Olson) Reinke- Olson and Peggy (Jim) Hartman; grandchildren, Rusty Danielson, Sara (Eric) Knapp, Diane (Bob) Whitehead, Julie (significant other- Jason Wrycza) Siegler, Joyce Lundy, Nathan (Mary) Olson, Daniel (Maggie) Olson, Tom Olson and Ben Olson; and great grandchildren, Katelyn Wrycza, Ava Whitehead, Nick McCrossen and Maya Olson.

Maxine is also survived by brothers and sisters in law, Dorothy Kempfert, Mary Jane Moody, James (Shirley) Siegler, Margaret Nash, Tom (June) Siegler, Bill (Ellen) Siegler, Sally (Marvin) Mancl and Susan Berry.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harvey Kempfert, grandson, Matthew Olson, son in law, Thomas Reinke and brothers and sister in law, Robert and Jean Siegler, William Nash, Lee Berry and Bud Moody.

"The Siegler family would like to thank the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center for the wonderful care given to Maxine." In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to the Siegler family.
