Michael David Ladick, age 51, died and his soul was lifted to heaven on Monday, December 17, 2012 peacefully and without pain, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on November 26, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Ronald and Mary Ann (Bushmaker) Ladick. He went to elementary school in Vesper, WI and to Lincoln High School. Michael worked at Sherry Dairy for 2 years and at Andy's Supermarket, Vesper IGA and West Grand IGA in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He was a meat cutter and made sausage, baloney and brats. He won a national award for his bratwurst. He enjoyed his work and always worked hard.

Michael was an avid hunter and trapper. He most of all enjoyed riding his "Harley" motorcycle with his friends. It was his greatest joy. He also had a great love for his family and friends. He loved to go to family gatherings to be with his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

Michael's wish was to have a private family service with immediate family only by the cabin that he, his brothers and neighbors built on the family farm in the woods on the Hemlock Creek. His memorial will be on Memorial Day 2013 with his family.

Michael is survived by his parents, Ronald and Mary Ann Ladick; 4 brothers, Dan Ladick, Doug Ladick, Steve (Amy) Ladick and Jim (Clare) Ladick; 4 sisters, Cheryl (Randy) Hasenorhl, Deb (Ron) Hoffman, Laura (Jeff) Palms and Mary E. Ladick; 10 nephews, Chad, Travis, Lee, Jason, Hunter, Sawyer, Brandon, Dillon, Cole and Jack; 4 nieces, Amy (Jim) Goodenough, Samantha (Jayson) Hines, Ashley Follen and Ciara Ladick; 6 great nieces and nephews, Gabrelle, Rease, Bentley, Kylie, Kade and Jaylin.

Michael was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

"Our family wants to thank all the doctors and nurses for the many years of wonderful care at the Dialysis Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Also thank you to St. Joseph's Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit for the care and compassion Michael and our family received and for the chaplain's special prayers for Michael."
