Robert (Bob) Fritsche, 84, passed away at his home in the Town of Rudolph on June 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Nick and Marie (Kohnen) Fritsche on February 24, 1929.
He married Elizabeth (Betty Drexler) on June 24, 1972 she preceded him in death on January 16, 2004.
Robert served in the Marines from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War
and was a lifelong member of the VFW
of Foreign Wars.
He farmed for several years in the Rudolph area and then went to work for Pre-way, after that he worked in the Biron Paper Mill for many years.
Bob had a love for animals, you could see Sand hill cranes, deer, ducks, turkeys and a variety of birds at his feeders at all times, and he truly enjoyed his wildlife.
He also loved his home, you could find him on his ATV cutting down trees or clearing a trail, planting flowers or mowing his lawn.
Survivors include sister; Elaine Ketchum, Nephews; Richard (Roberta) Ketchum and Arland Ketchum, Niece; Jean (Walt) Knuteson and several great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nick and Marie, wife Betty, brother Wallace (Wally), brother-in-law Arvel Ketchum and nephew David Ketchum l.
