Thomas A. Wipfli age 84, formerly of Wisconsin River Drive, Port Edwards, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Hilltop on Pepper in Wisconsin Rapids.

Thomas was born December 31, 1928 in Wisconsin Rapids to Alfred and Eva (Brooks) Wipfli. He served during the Korean War
in the US Navy. He married Janice Zurfluh on October 8, 1955 in Port Edwards.
Tom was employed for 38 years and retired as a Personnel/Purchasing Manager with Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids. He was a village board member and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. In earlier years, he volunteered with the Cub Scouts. Tom especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Port Edwards; six children, Douglas (Lee) Wipfli of Milwaukee, Nancy Bellasalma of Orange County, CA, Susan (Mark) Meuser of McCall, ID, Cheryl (Rene) Smith of Houston, TX, Lisa (Jeff) Meyer of Plymouth, and Kirk (Julie) Wipfli of Pittsville; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and one brother, Gary (Martha) Wipfli of Nekoosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Todd, and one sister, Janet Oleson.
