Jaminski, Alan R.

Alan R. Jaminski, age 52, of 29 Red Oak Circle, Wisconsin Rapids, went home to meet his Lord, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, after a courageous battle against cancer, with his family by his side.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM. Saturday at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Port Edwards. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 AM. until the time of service at 1 PM. Burial of the cremains will be at the Village of Port Edwards Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Ministry Home Care Hospice or UW Cancer Center Riverview.

Alan was born May 5, 1960 in Wisconsin Rapids to Robert and Carla (Lohman) Jaminski. He was a fiberglass worker for Energy Composites in Wisconsin Rapids and was previously employed by Waste Management. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking his dog, Loner, for walks. Alan enjoyed playing his guitar and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his mother, Carla Jaminski of Port Edwards; and 4 siblings, Cheryl (Jerry) Latraverse of Randleman, NC, Gary (Vicki) Jaminski of Wisconsin Rapids, Gail (Ed Mooha) Jaminski of Randleman, NC, and Dawn Jaminski (John Sellars) of Port Edwards. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Jammer" Jaminski, brother, Joe Beck, and his grandparents.

The Jaminski family would like to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice, Dr. Okon, and Dr. Reding for their great care of Alan.
