Angie Chierichetti-Paulsen Obituary
Chierichetti-Paulsen, Angie

Angie Chierichetti-Paulsen, 50, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed from this life on Friday, September 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, where she was being treated for injuries she sustained in a fall on September 17, while visiting Superior, WI.

Angie was born September 25, 1962, in Lincoln, NE. She was raised in Plymouth, NH, where she graduated from Plymouth Regional High School in 1980. Angie attended Boston College before moving to Minneapolis, MN, where she met her husband, Roland. Their union was a rare example of true, unconditional love. They relocated to Wisconsin Rapids in 1996.

Angie was employed at WoodTrust Bank, beginning as a teller in 1996, until resigning from her position as Facilities and Marketing Director in August of this year. She also served as the Assistant General Manager of the Hotel Mead from January, 2012, until October, 2012, in addition to her duties at WoodTrust.

Angie was active in many local organizations, including the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce and the South Wood County Humane Society.

She served as one of the original organizers, as well as an on-going champion, of the "Souper Snow Sculpture Spectacular" to benefit the Humane Society, as her final project before graduating from the Heart of Wisconsin Leadership Program. She volunteered her services at many other charitable events, including "Putts for Pets," "Men in the Kitchen," the "Iron Chef Competition," and the "Never Forgotten Honor Flight," among others.

Angie was a true animal lover. She served as a board member and officer of the South Wood County Humane Society from 2006-2012. She also fostered special-needs dogs from SWCHS and served as a "dog sitter" for numerous friends, in addition to having six of her own over the past twenty years.

Angie was generous to a fault. Her selfless giving was the embodiment of service to others. She loved her family above all else, taking every opportunity to bring them together. She was the consummate Italian cook, happiest when feeding a crowd. In addition, she enjoyed travel, gardening, and developing her spiritual side.

Angie is survived by her husband, Roland; one son, Joseph CasadeCalvo, of Chicago, IL; one daughter, Catina (CasadeCalvo) Stoflet; one grandaughter, Carmen Stoflet; her mother, Bonnie (Chierichetti) French, all of Wisconsin Rapids; and one stepson, Jesse Paulsen of St. Paul, MN. In addition to the dozens of nieces and nephews that she so loved, she is survived by siblings: Wendy (Joe) Krantz, of Pleasantview, TN; Marguerite (Mike) Wellendorf, of Des Moines, IA; Tina Foster of Lincoln, NE; Charles (Holly) Brown, of Burnsville, MN; Kevin (Brittany) Tapply, of Arvada, CO; Patricia (Harold) Haney, of Alexadria, NH; Lisa (Simon) Chierichetti-Jacques, of Minneapolis, MN; Roland Peter (Karla) Chierichetti of Wentworth, NH; and Roland's sister, Julie (James) Krznarich, of Ironwood, MI. . Angie was preceded in death by her father, Roland (Jerry) Chierichetti in 1993.

A "Celebration of Angie's Life" will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 3pm until 7pm at The Eatery / Great Expectations Catering 3551 Plover Road, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494. In accordance with her wishes, a traditional funeral will not be held, as she felt that would bring sadness to those she loved. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation in Angie's name to the South Wood County Humane Society ( or Never Forgotten Honor Flight (
