Diane Gorden, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on December 13, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Diane was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI in 1943 to the late Harold and Evelyn Pagels. She spent most of her life in Wisconsin Rapids, and graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school she worked at Consolidated Papers in their R&D Department. In 1964 she married Bruce Gorden. In 1967 their daughter Cindy was born, and Tracy followed in 1970. In later years, Diane was employed by Wood County National Bank in various positions. After she retired from banking, she then pursued a career at Winslows Hallmark in Wisconsin Rapids. In 2003, she moved to the Villages, FL with Bruce to begin their retirement. In Florida she enjoyed golfing and socializing with friends, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Diane is survived by her husband Bruce (The Villages, FL); daughter Cindy (Mike) Buttke of Wisconsin Rapids; brother Jim (Julia) Pagels of Laughlin, NV; brother-in-law Tony Kielpinski of Kenosha, WI; brother Denny (Robin) Pagels, of Grovetown, GA; and brother Phil (Kris) Pagels of Wisconsin Rapids. She is also survived by numerous neices, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Evelyn Pagels, sister Janice Kielpinski, and daughter Tracy Gorden.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Tuscany House in Florida whose dedication and care meant so much to the family during Diane's final days.
The family will not be holding a public service.
