Raymond B. Kubowski, 71 of Stevens Point, joined his wife in heaven on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Memorial services will be 11am Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City with Fr. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion Post 485 of Rudolph.
Family will receive relative and friends from 4-7pm Tuesday and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of services at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home.
Raymond was born in the town of Carson, Portage County to Theodore and Lucille (Demski) Kubowski.
He served in the United States Army from March 12, 1964 until his honorable discharge on August 16, 1964. He then was transferred to National Guard for the State of Wisconsin for six years.
Raymond owned and operated a tractor repair business for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and old tractors and belonged to the Rudolph Tractor Club.
He was united in marriage to Patricia M. Krebsbach on July 7, 1969 at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Patsy died on August 23, 2012.
Raymond is survived by one brother Leonard Kubowski of Stevens Point and a sister Rose Krebsbach of Grafton. He is further survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Roger (Karen) Krebsbach of Iron Mountain, MI, Michael (Connie) Krebsbach of Sheboygan, Gloria (William) Spice of Plover; nieces and nephews, Jamie (Dallas) Smith, Randy (Andrea) Fuerst, Mark (Ann) Schilling, Tracee Deranick, Tammy Uttendorfer, Clayton (Kristen) Krebsbach and Todd (Robin) Krebsbach; and numerous great nieces and nephews, special long time friends Ronald and Diane Linzmeier and family and his dog "Tinker"
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia.
