Ronald N. Pagel, 74, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.

Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Father Valentine Joseph will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church on Monday from 9:30-11:00 AM. Entombment will be in Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.

Ron was born September 7, 1942 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Nicholas and Dorothy (Honeyager) Pagel. Ron married Dianne Gebert on September 8, 1962 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Ron is survived by his wife Dianne and their children, Kim (Terry) Dolan, Deb (Scott) Edwards, Kelly Pagel (Brian Cole), Nick (Carey) Pagel and Casey (John) Maniaci; grandchildren, Andy (Jessica), Adam & Matt Edwards., Philip and Eric Dolan, Caden Pagel and McKenna, Keely and Eli Maniaci and great-grandchildren, Sophie Olivarez-Dolan and Kennedy Edwards. Ron is also survived by brothers, Roger (Teed) Pagel and Doug (Karen) Pagel.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas & Dorothy Pagel; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Gebert, father-in-law, Robert Gebert and brother, Richard Pagel.

Ron was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was never happier than when surrounded by his children, grandchildren and extended family. Ron's smile and contagious laughter filled the room for countless cookouts, holiday meals, Packers parties, baptisms and graduations. He was a cheerful and hard-working man who led by example and his family will never forget his loving ways, his kindness and his endless generosity.
