Marjorie Jane (Rowland) Mann, 94, Wisconsin Rapids went peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, surrounded by her family at Riverview Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Stephen Steinmetz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 17th and from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services on Tuesday, all at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on March 24, 1919 to William and Cora (Anderson) Rowland. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937, and later attended the University of Wisconsin Extension College in Wisconsin Rapids. She married Earl Mann, Jr. on May 20, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died on July 4, 1979.
Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin Rapids and a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.
She loved her family and taking care of her home. When her children were younger Marjorie was a 4-H leader. She loved to embroider and watch the birds outside her window in her later years.
Survivors include her children: Sharon (Dean) McClyman, Adams, WI; Marilyn (Keith) Zempel, Crossville, TN; Roger (Needa) Mann, Lake Zurich, IL; Robert Mann, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way; three brothers-in-law: Val Mann, Everett (Ruby) Mann, Don (Delores) Mann, all of Wisconsin Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father-in-law: Ethel and Earl Mann Sr.; son-in-law: Larry Deitcher siblings: Arthur (Kathryn) Rowland; Laverne (Roy) Rued; Audrey (Joe) Lucan; infant brother: Edward George Rowland; brother-in-law: Cleo Mann; and sister-in-law: Marjorie (Mann) Boyer.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the Riverview team for their kindness shown to the family and for the compassionate care given to their mother and grandma.
