Ninneman, Orrin D.
Orrin D. Ninneman, 82, Wisconsin Rapids, died early Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 24th at Forest Hill Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the Mausoleum.
Orrin was born in Ripon, WI on June 16, 1931 to Edwin and Lilly (Bier) Ninneman. He married ShirleyLou Fuller on June 21, 1952 in Ripon, WI. She died January 2, 2002.
Orrin started farming with his father at a young age in Ripon and then later worked for Green Giant. He and Shirley moved to Wisconsin Rapids in April of 1957 where he began working for Consoweld Corporation. Orrin remained there until his retirement in 1985.
He was a longtime member of the Moravian Wisconsin Rapids Church. Orrin was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his children: Jeffrey (Betty) Ninneman, Nekoosa, WI; Jill (Mark) Abbott and Orrin (Ann) Ninneman Jr., all of Wisconsin Rapids; Jack (Jewel) Ninneman , Grand Rapids; Jay Ninneman, Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Dale (Christi), Matthew (Jessica), Jenelle (John), Tyler (Andilyn), Kimberly, Jacob, Emily, and Beth; nine great-grandchildren; brother: Marvin Ninneman; sister Ioma. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Lou, his parents, and sister Sally.
"We will miss you dearly, dad, but we are grateful that you are with mom again."
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
