Betty was born April 14, 1954 in Columbus, GA to Lindsay L. and Lottie L. McCracken.

At 11 years old, Betty moved to Wisconsin Rapids where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Lawrence J. Herman, whom she married on June 23, 1973. In addition to her role as a loving mother of four children, Betty was a giving caretaker for many in need as a home care nurse and assistant living caretaker.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Herman of Wisconsin Rapids; her children, Jason Herman (Madison), Catina Herman (Wisconsin Rapids), Michelle Clasen (Wisconsin Rapids), Micheal (Kristine) Herman (Middleton); her grandchildren, Madeline Clasen (Wisconsin Rapids), Anna Clasen (Wisconsin Rapids), Clara Clasen (Wisconsin Rapids), Emily Jarman (Middleton), Ethan Jarman (Middleton); her brothers, James (Marilyn) Meeks (Columbus, GA), Allen (Cindy) Meeks (Wisconsin Rapids), Forrest McCracken (Wisconsin Rapids); her sister Hazel (David) Andraska (Wisconsin Rapids); a Mother-like Figure, Joyce Meeks (Wisconsin Rapids); four nephews and eight nieces; in-laws, cousins, and many caring friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsay and Lottie McCracken.

Special thanks to all those who gave so much in caring for Betty throughout her life.
