Rosekrans, Dorothy E.

Dorothy E. Rosekrans (nee Gamma), age 89, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Friday, August 8, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Sahayanathan Nathan will officiate. Visitation will take place at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Dorothy was born September 23, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Goddard and Mary (Komatz) Gamma. She married Gerald Rosekrans on September 17, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Gerald died September 21, 2008. Dorothy was employed at Wood County Telephone Co. for 30 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Jerry (Gaye) Rosekrans of Schofield, WI and Kelly (Jean) Rosekrans of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; four grandchildren, Christopher (Jordan Backman) Rosekrans, Michael Rosekrans, Andy Rosekrans and Jason (Vicki) Mauritz and one great granddaughter, Brooke Mauritz. Dorothy is also survived by special nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald; three sisters, Loretta Arendt, Rosella Gamma and Florence Klein, brother, Joseph Gamma and brother and sister in law, Elaine and Carl Wittig.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be designated to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church or the Serra Club of Wisconsin Rapids.
