Marvin Bocaner, 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at his home.

Marvin was the son of Bory and Jenny Bocaner. He married Gloria Fischer in 1954.

A lifelong resident and business owner in Wisconsin Rapids, Marvin was active in a number of professional organizations in the community during his career at General Distributing where he made customer service his top priority.

He was happiest outdoors, whether sailing, rowing or cross-country skiing on the Wisconsin River, riding his bicycle or just watching the sunsets and wildlife.

His family and friends especially appreciated his kindness and sense of humor.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Gloria; his daughters, Dea (Bill) Danly, Lisa (Jack Gulinello), Sarah (Robert Revoir), and Amy; his grandchildren, Zack, Sylvia and Alex; his sisters, Gloria Schneider and Irene Coheen; his brother, Lawrence (Janet); nieces and nephews across the country; and his best friend, Ella.

A celebration of his life will be held this summer.

Memorials may be made to the Raptor Education Group, Inc., P.O. Box 481, Antigo, Wis. 54409, honoring Marv's admiration for the birds of the area and those who care for them.
