Robert F. Siegler, age 88, of 281 S. Biron Drive, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Monday, December 17, 2012 at the North Central Health Care Center, Wausau, WI.
Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2012 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Jim Altman will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday and Friday at the Church from 12:00 Noon until the time of services. There will be a Parish Rosary at 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert was born January 13, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to John and Jane (Gaffney) Siegler. He married Gertrude Jean Bollman on June 14, 1952 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She died May 16, 2005. Robert was a paper maker for the Biron Division of Consolidated Papers Inc. retiring after 47 years with the company.
Robert was a long time member of Saints Peter & Paul Church. He lived for his family and will be deeply missed. Robert's mission in life was to make people happy and he did this until the day he died.
Robert is survived by six children, Thomas (Sharon) Siegler of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Jean (David) Kallio of Wausau, WI, Robin (Alan) Werth of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Mary Hoffman of Town of Rome, WI, Debra (Karl) Neumann of Biron, WI and Joseph (Pam) Siegler of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Robert is also survived by eight brothers and sisters, John (Maxine) Siegler of Biron, WI, Mary Jane Moody of Nekoosa, WI, Margaret Nash of Biron, WI, James (Shirley) Siegler of Biron, WI, Thomas (June) Siegler of Biron, WI, Sally (Marvin) Mancl of Biron, WI, William (Ellen) Siegler of Biron, WI and Susan Berry of Biron, WI.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gertrude Jean, and son, Michael.
