Iva May Stada, 99, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013.

She was born January 15, 1914 to Frank and Lillian (Hunsicker) Schenk. She was joined in marriage to Floyd Stada March 19, 1938 in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death July 13, 1982. Iva was strong in her faith and was a longtime member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was also a member of their Unit 23 (Lady of the Snows). She was also a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Senior Citizens, and a charter member of the Wisconsin Rapids Moose Lodge. She enjoyed cooking, garden, and doing crafts. Iva loved music.

Iva is survived by her son Gerald of Pennsylvania, her daughter Judith of Wisconsin Rapids, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, three great-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren, one sister Orva Schmick of Wisconsin Rapids, and a brother Herbert Schenk of Wild Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, two sisters Almina and Marian, an infant brother, and one grandchild.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Higgins Funeral Home is serving the family.
